Fulfilments is more than just a feature; it's a commitment to revolutionizing the selling process and ensuring that buyers and sellers both enjoy a fair and seamless experience.
At the heart of Fulfilments is the idea that sellers should have the tools and support they need to thrive without compromising the trust and satisfaction of our buyers. It's a solution designed to address a common concern: the fear of skyrocketing delivery prices.
With Fulfilments, we've set out to create a marketplace where buyers can shop with confidence, knowing that they won't be hit with exorbitant delivery charges.
How shipping fee is estimated?
The shipping fee displayed to customers during live bidding is an estimate, determined by the weight of the item you specify before going live and the customer's location. For new users who haven't set a location, Kuala Lumpur will be used as the reference point for calculation.
"While the shipping fee is shown during live bidding, it's important to note that customers are not immediately charged when creating orders."
You have the option to override the weight when creating fulfillments.
When will customers be charged?
When you're prepared to pack and ship the orders, you can generate fulfillments, specify the parcel weight, and select a courier. At that point, the customer's default payment method will be charged.
What if Collektr failed to charge the customer?
If an attempt to charge the customer for the shipping cost fails, an online invoice will be automatically generated and sent to the customer via email. The customer can access the link and make the payment using their preferred method within a 3-day window.
We also recommend reaching out to the customer directly to remind them about the outstanding shipping cost.
Can I combine multiple orders and items in a parcel?
You can certainly consolidate multiple items into a single parcel for more convenient handling and reduced shipping costs.
Is insurance provided for my parcels?
Insurance coverage is mandatory for all parcels shipped through our service. Every shipment created with Collektr includes basic insurance provided by the courier companies. Additional insurance may be necessary and will be charged accordingly, depending on the total value of the items in the parcel. To minimize insurance costs, we suggest maintaining the parcel's total value below RM200.
Is it possible to use a courier that is not listed as an option?
Certain couriers may not be listed due to their inability to deliver to the customer's location or because they do not offer insurance coverage. Nonetheless, we encourage you to contact our support team for a double-check if you have specific courier preferences.
Can customers opt-in for self pick-up?
Certainly, customers have the option to select self pick-up. When creating fulfillments, you can choose between shipment or self pick-up. If a customer opts for self pick-up, they won't incur shipping charges, and they will receive an email notification instructing them to collect their items.
Setting up fulfillments
1. Base Address :
Make sure to setup your accurate address as this information will be use for shipping and self pickup purpose. Go to Settings and scroll down to Fulfillments section and fill up your address.
2. Shipping :
When creating a new product, you do not have to reconfigure each one. Set your default configuration on Shipping section in Settings.

Default weight - The default weight for a new product is determined by selecting the higher of the actual weight or the volumetric weight, with the specific denominator in the formula varying depending on the courier. You may refer here: Volumetric weight. This value can be overridden for each products and while creating fulfillments.

Default Shipping Fee Option

Paid Shipping - The shipping cost is covered by the buyer. When processing fulfillments, the buyer's default payment method will be charged for the shipping expenses.

Free Shipping - Provide free shipping to buyers; however, the shipping cost will be subtracted from your payout.

Preferred Courier - This courier will serve as the default option for shipping unless they are unable to deliver to the specified address, in which case an alternative courier will be assigned. You have the flexibility to override and select a different courier when creating fulfillments.
3. Self Pick-up :
To setup your self pick-up option, kindly scroll down in Settings section and you will find Self Pick-up. Kindly choose which options that you prefer to.
How to proceed with Shipping or Self Pick-up
1. Shipping :
Firstly, you need to go on Fulfillments section and Create Fulfillments.
You will see all the details of your buyers and products that has been purchased previously.
Secondly, you need to choose which buyer that you want to proceed with and tick the item that you want to ship or self pickup.
Thirdly, if you choose to ship the item kindly proceed with Process Parcel and this pop up will show up. At this point, you will need to declare accurate information for courier purpose such as Total weight and Content Description. Besides that, for Parcel Category kindly choose the most relatable one. After that, system will automatically filter which courier available and calculate the shipping cost for you. Next, you just need to choose which courier that you prefer and Create Shipping. Once shipping created, your buyer will get notification by email and you will be provided with airway bills (AWB).
Forthly, if you choose to deliver by hand to your buyer kindly proceed with Self Pick-up and this below pop up will show up. Double check on your item then click Ready for Pickup. Your buyer will receive notification by email that item are ready for pick up.
